SCOPE
A senior tax associate is responsible for providing tax preparation, review, and tax planning. The position will also provide mentoring and work direction for team members. This is a client facing position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare personal and business tax returns
- Review individual tax returns
- Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Prepare and review client correspondence, letters, e-mail, etc.
- Assist with training new staff
- Provide work direction and mentor staff
- Resolve IRS & State letters
- Tax Planning for business clients
- Communicate proactively with clients and other employees on important matters in a timely manner
- Participate in training, continuing education, direction, motivation, and feedback with other employees
- Participate in networking events and organizations
- Maintain confidentiality of all customer data
- Use of CRM to track all client contact and data
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Ability to take on specific assignments and to develop in-charge abilities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Proficient with cloud software use
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent research skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of job-related experience
- Enrolled Agent or CPA
- Accounting experience working with privately held businesses
- QuickBooks Online experience
